Welcome back, neon animal prints layered with funky logos and contrasting patterns! It’s all in the ASOS X MTV collection and it is all so wonderfully weird.
Rocking pink and green leopard print on a fanny pack that matches your socks and oversized top is something from my wonderfully weird and wildest dreams. Every piece of this 80’s inspired summer collection is bold, brutal and banging.
Joanna Kyte, ASOS blogger, put it this way: “80s-street silhouettes meets loud neon brights.”
It embraces both ASOS and MTV’s funky audience and the unapologetic spirit of each company’s style, be it fashion or entertainment.
Whether you love it or loathe it, the boldness of the collection is admirable.
The selection (for both men and women) was expanded after the original 20 piece collection. Not everything has an MTV logo plastered on it, but it does all hold the same character.
The character of the collection is in the unprecedented graphics; Eighties streetwear meets modern fashion and I’m so in love.
STYLIN, WHILEN, LIVIN’ IT UP IN THE CITY…
… Got the logo shirt on with superstars, gotta kiss this piece, it’s so pretty. Too hot (hot damn).
I’ve had a growing thirst for bold and colourful pieces in recent years and this collection does the quenching, with my favoured numbers (oversized tees as dresses, funky socks, statement swimsuits, big patterned jackets, etc) never looking better. I was in shock at how every single piece of the collection was so me.
I treated myself to the logo t-shirt, lace up swimsuit and socks, with the windbreaker and men’s leopard print shirt being next on my list. Like I said, I am so in love. They’re fun and they’re funky – two things I love my style to be. Fashion is all about experimenting and finding your niche… so thank you, ASOS & MTV. You saved me a whole lot of searching.
